Assistant Director of Nursing, Hospice - Mesquite, TX

About the Role: Are you a compassionate leader with a passion for hospice care? We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team in Mesquite, TX. In this vital role, you'll be the heartbeat of our clinical operations, ensuring the highest standard of patient care at home while providing key oversight and support to our nursing staff. As the highest-ranking clinical professional in the organization, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape and influence the care we provide to our hospice patients and their families.

What You'll Do:

Assist in the administration and management of clinical departments, driving productivity and ensuring proper staffing.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including patients, their families, and referring agencies, to provide holistic, patient-centered care.

Serve as the clinical leader, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to the nursing staff while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

What You Bring:

Education: A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree (graduate degrees like MHA are a bonus).

Licensure: Must hold a valid RN license in Texas, adhering to the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) regulations, and possess a current Texas driver's license.

Experience:Minimum of 2 years in hospice care (required), with additional experience in home health care (a plus).

At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience in healthcare, such as hospice, nursing facilities, or home/community support services.

Skills:Strong nursing acumen with a deep understanding of hospice care standards.

Exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Bilingual in Spanish is an advantage, as is a background in healthcare administration.

Must be able to provide proof of Hepatitis profile and TB screen if required for patient visits.
