As the Medical Director for Sound Physicians' emergency medicine practice at Covenant Plainview Hospital System in Plainview, Texas, I am excited to share this exceptional opportunity with you. Practice
Rural emergency department: Serve a diverse patient population in a rural setting.
Procedural skills: Perform a wide range of procedures, including intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion.
Flexible scheduling: Enjoy a flexible work schedule with options for part-time or PRN hours.
State-of-the-art equipment: Utilize advanced medical technology.
Trauma level 4: Manage trauma cases at a Level 4 trauma center.
Annual visits: Average 13K annual visits with 49 total beds.
Nights and weekends: Primarily work nights and weekends, with the possibility of daytime work for PTO coverage.
APP support: Benefit from the support of an APP who primarily handles the fast track and assists in the main ED during busy periods.
Hospitalist coverage: Rely on Sound Physicians-managed hospitalist coverage from 7p-7a.
EMR system: Use EPIC as the electronic medical record system.
Competitive compensation: Receive competitive pay and benefits, including $275/hour for daytime and $280/hour for nights/weekends.
Professional liability insurance: Enjoy professional liability insurance with tail coverage included under 1099 status.
Travel and lodging: Have travel and lodging expenses covered.
Requirements: Possess current ATLS certification and ABEM certification.
