Responsibilities
Familiarity with basic financial industry concepts and trade life cycle
Experience in working soup to nuts on client facing business applications.
Ability to think like a product owner - like benefits of an application, wear a user hat, how to sell it to management etc.
Understanding of each step of the Agile SDLC from eliciting requirements from stakeholders, documenting specs, giving a walkthrough to developers in technical language, coordinating testing.
Basic program management skills - like creating and tracking a project plan for medium size projects. Budgeting etc.
Intermediate SQL query writing skills
Intermediate JQL (Jira Query Language) skills. Job involved heavy use of Jiras and complex querying.
Experience in writing detailed techno-functional specs that include. We'll need a sample of all the documents listed below (with confidential data taken out). It might be better to send me the sample documents created by the candidate ahead of spending time on an interview

Their specific day to day role at each step of the SDLC
Requirements management for the entire development lifecycle (scope management, elicitation, documentation, and validation), process improvement, process integration, functional architecture, data modeling, and technology design of large-scale cross-functional projects
Drive Agile Project Management responsibilities serving as a Servant Leader - Sprint planning, sprint review, sprint tracking, conducting daily stand-up meetings, sprint retrospective, status reporting, backlog grooming, and Managed Services (MSA) engagement model responsibilities
Work with senior stakeholders in order to discover process inefficiencies and process risks
Ensure quality delivery of various artifacts like project charter, business case, project plan, BRD, FRD, user stories, test plan documents, technology design document, etc.
Work with the UX team to ensure optimal user experience
Work with data analysts and architects to ensure database designs are consistent with information architecture, information management and industry standards
Client relationship management with senior stakeholders across various lines of business to compile and prioritize enhancements to the system (maintained in JIRA)
Interface with other system owners that have an upstream or downstream dependency
Manage a team of developers and quality testers to enhance and maintain tactical applications in BAU mode.
Support the production support process for everyday issue management and resolution

Conduct strategic technology project management and planning for a globally distributed team.
Foster client relationships and stakeholder management for technology applications in regulatory compliance intelligence and financial services wealth management portals.
Develop training for business analysts in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and financial services domain.
Address resource loading, staffing shortages, and project scope and project risks.
Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
Elicit and validate requirements for wealth management and regulatory compliance intelligence and market intelligence applications.
Create functional specifications for the technology team.
Document business requirements, business processes, technical design, and preparation of use cases and test cases.

Capabilities
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or relevant field
A minimum of 6 years experience as a business systems analyst
