Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Work Location: hybrid in Dallas, TX

Job Description:

This role serves as the liaison between the business unit, product team, and the systems development team. You define business systems requirements. You perform advanced planning of automation needs necessary to define business system project objectives this role is a doer role. Each day, you question why something is being done and then determine how to best achieve project objectives using data analytics and being an expert at our processes, product and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct user interviews to collect business and functional requirements.

• Analyze business, product and IT needs when translating them into proper system requirement specifications or use cases.

• Document business, functional and system requirements in a clear and concise manner that will provide clear definition of application functionality.

• Demonstrate proficiency with prototyping methods as a key tool to communicate ideas with stakeholders and developers.

• Formulate gap analyses of competing products and vendors. Works with cross functional teams to design the user experience, project scheduling, and interaction with development teams to complete desired projects and insuring they operate effectively and meet project objectives.

• Assist with QA, UAT and Postproduction Validation to ensure the quality and effectiveness of products and functionality.

• Demonstrate proficiency in agile development

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of business analyst experience

• 5+ years of forward mortgage originations industry experience in Business Analyst and/or Product Owner roles

• Experience in process mapping and functional story writing

• Experience working in an agile environment and lean methodology

• Hands-on experience in POS, LOS, AUS and other key mortgage integrations is preferred
