Job Summary:
A hands-on role supporting Hotel Finance and Operations leaders. Key responsibilities include analyzing and reporting on weekly and monthly hotel performance, focusing teams on key drivers and areas of opportunity to continuously drive value and return on assets. The individual will function as an influencer partnering with Hotel Finance and Operations leaders to formulate value creation plans, with accountability and follow through. This position will specialize in applying an analytical and data driven perspective to their work, seeking ways to utilize a robust existing data set to develop actionable recommendations and presenting findings to aid in decision-making.
Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a financial and/or business analyst capacity. Prior financial analysis and modeling skillset is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior business leaders
Highest standards of accuracy and precision
Highly collaborative, team oriented, and comfortable working across multiple teams and markets
Highly driven and hardworking, with exacting standards for themselves and others
Experience working with a business performance/intelligence application is preferred (specific experience with Microsoft PowerBI a plus)
Strong quantitative aptitude, with a high level of attention to detail; ability to summarize complex issues and opportunities into succinct and actionable deliverables.
A 4-year college degree from an accredited University
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), as well as any database application used for reporting, and advanced in Excel. Must be detailed oriented, self-motivated, have excellent analytical skills and be organized.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily partnering with Hotel Finance and Operations leaders to help inform detailed understanding of all key aspects of revenue, costs and margin analysis (GOP by Hotel, by Portfolio).
Partner with leaders on analysis with respect to actual performance as compared to budget, forecast, and prior periods, formulating action plans and supporting execution and follow through.
Accountable for expense monitoring through productivity metrics and review of purchasing commitments
Make recommendations to leadership regarding potential improvements to Hotel performance based on analysis of key business drivers; distill key drivers of results into actionable insights for leadership teams.
Partner with teams to identify and implement process and productivity efficiencies to improve hotel performance.
Prepare, interpret and present financial results to Hotel Finance and Operations leaders, support development of materials for Owner meetings and presentations.
Analytical support in Owner business reviews
Identify future financial risks and opportunities across hotels/portfolios.
Support the continued development of the Company's financial systems and data.
