Rate Range: $60-$65/Hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Developer with over 10 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic IT team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex Oracle database solutions that are critical to our business operations.

As a Senior Oracle Database Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize database schemas, write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures, and ensure our databases are secure, scalable, and reliable.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Oracle databases and data models to support business requirements.

Optimize database performance through capacity planning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for data retrieval and manipulation.

Collaborate with application developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and protection.

Perform database upgrades and migrations as required, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture, data flows, and processes.

Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery plans and procedures.

Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and support to the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

10+ years of experience working as an Oracle Database Developer or similar role.

Strong proficiency in Oracle database technologies (Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c) including database design, PL/SQL, SQL tuning, and performance optimization.

Experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), Data Guard, and other high availability solutions.

Hands-on experience with database security, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.

Solid understanding of database architecture and best practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
