BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Production Support/ Technical Support for an opportunity in (Plano, TX)

Position Title: Production Support/ Technical Support

Location: ( Plano, TX)

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 12 Months.

Job Type: CONTRACT, (Hybrid)

Shift: Monday- Friday (5x8)

Pay Range: $35/HR - $40/HR

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

Resource requires AS400 iSeries skills which is a niche skillset. Critical Futures process such as margin calculations, books and records, client reporting and regulatory reporting rely on the AS400 platform. A core level of AS400 resources are required during AMRS shifts to ensure critical processes are completed within SLA to avoid client, financial and regulatory reporting impact. Failure to react in a timely manner to batch issues could lead to;
Client impact: Delayed delivery of client reports, in particular Daily Valuation Margin Reports, delayed notification of breaks to clients and delayed response to client queries
Regulatory: Hong Kong regulator (HKEX rule 617) requires DVMR reports to be delivered before midnight

Key Responsibilities
Experienced AS400 iSeries specialist to support support critical AS400 systems for our Markets Futures business. The role will involve hand-on management of critical batches, Incident Management, Monitoring of critical processes and functional releases. This role requires partnership with Infrastructure and Development partners to maintain a stable and resilient platform. 2nd Shift.

Required Skills
AS/400 iSeries, RPG IV, CL, SQL, DB2, basic Unix skills, troubleshooting skills
