Job description

The Sr. QA Engineer will take part in defining and driving the future worldwide market leading product suite consists of: Network Access Control, Endpoint Compliance, Mobile Control, and Intrusion Prevention. Applications range from Client / Server applications to Web apps for a Network Access Control solution, running on both Windows and Linux systems.

The type of QA engineers we need needs to have some experience being able to make configurations and changes in a switch / router.

LOCATION: Plano, TX 75093 (Hybrid- 3 days onsite)

POSITION: Contract with Right to Hire

SCHEDULE: 8:30am - 5:00pm

PAY RANGE: $65hr W2 or $70hr 1099

What will you do?

Testing on-prem client solution software suite along with third party devices including: Network/Switch devices, Endpoint compliance and Software integrations

Tech used: Ansible for automation testing, TestRail, Jira and HP products

Design, develop and maintain manual and automated test suites

Analyze and report defects on software to improve conformance, stability, and supportability

Execute end-to-end-testing (manual/automated), integration testing, sanity testing and creating documents, use-cases, design and other technical documents.

Test defect fixes and new functionality as required

Work closely with product, development, and other quality assurance engineers on testing processes and execution.

Translate system requirements and specs to test cases

Professional Skills:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance in network and endpoint security

Tech used: Ansible for automation testing, testrail, jira and HP products

Experience testing network security product like firewall, intrusion prevention systems, and SIEM solution, are highly desirable

Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and or HPE network devices is recommended.

Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, SQL and database with working knowledge of Java a plus

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software and network issues logically and analytically.

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies

Excellent communication and collaborative skills

Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging techniques

Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM is recommended.

Experience with automation platforms and script development recommended Networking: Good understanding of TCP/IP Knowledge in protocols (DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, 802.1 x)

Familiar with network equipment configuration (Switch, Router)

Windows-based networks with domain management a plus

Low-level network monitoring and sniffing (sniffers experience)
