Job description

Title: Demand Planner

Location: Richardson, Tx M-T onsite

Rate: $30/hour

Duration: Ongoing Contract

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holder or Authorized to work in the U.S.

Key Details:

Coordinate life cycle activities within team - major project through end of year

Software experience - excel - SAP - excel - pivot- basic data analysis, table creation, intermediate skills. General SAP knowledge.

Familiarity with the concept of SAP. Teachable skills.

Soft Skills - detail oriented, data focused, data driven, works well on a team but is able to work independently, able to constantly follow up with the team to gather necessary information, able to gather data, and consolidate reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain demand forecasts for new and existing products throughout their lifecycle. Utilize historical data, market trends, and sales inputs to create accurate and actionable forecasts.

Product Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with product management, marketing, and sales teams to understand product lifecycle stages and adjust demand plans accordingly. Monitor product performance and make adjustments to forecasts based on lifecycle phases.

Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory. Implement strategies for effective inventory control throughout the product lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and production schedules. Facilitate communication and coordination across departments to support demand planning activities.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze demand data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Generate and present reports on demand planning performance, inventory levels, and product lifecycle status to senior management.

Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve demand planning processes and tools. Implement best practices to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency

Job Description:

Understand, monitor, and develop comprehensive lifecycle management strategies for products and/or product families.

Implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient lifecycle management, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of lifecycle strategies and advocate for change or action as needed.

Assist with product or project transitions between lifecycle phases, including sunsetting outdated products or services.

Collaborate with operations, product management, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with lifecycle plans and performance

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, or Operations.

Requires at least 3 years related experience, preferably in Supply Chain or Project Management

Proficient knowledge of Supply Chain Management and working in a consensus, Sales, and Operations Planning (S&OP) environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and training skills.

Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and solid Customer Relations skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

SAP and/or SAP IBP experience is a plus, but not required.
