Posting Number W00127P Position Title Temporary Testing Center Assistant (Part-Time) Functional Title Testing Center Assistant (Part-Time) Department Educational Technology Services Salary Range $17.00 per hour Pay Basis Hourly Position Status Temporary Location Richardson Position End Date (if temporary) Posting Open Date 10/02/2024 Posting Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Desired Start Date 11/04/2024 Job Summary The Testing Assistant provides front-line services to prospective and current students and assists them by providing the necessary materials and parameters to effectively administering all electronic and written exams given in the UT Dallas Testing Center. Minimum Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent: Some college coursework or relevant experience. Preferred Education and Experience Two years of college and one year of related work experience Experience in an office or testing center environment Knowledge of college policies, procedures, and operations Knowledge of prescribed testing conditions and testing security Customer service and professional courtesy skills Time management skills Ability to pay attention to detail Ability to articulate testing requirements Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely Ability to maintain constant vigilance and detect any sign of scholastic dishonesty Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet candidates and verify personal information by checking identifications Provides candidates with test instructions, exam timings and pass out test materials, sort, and file information in an accurate and timely manner Follows test procedures; adheres to academic integrity policies and procedures Maintains confidentiality and ensure all test materials are stored securely and maintains a secure testing environment of each test administration Provides excellent customer service to students, faculty, visitors and represent the Testing Center and UT Dallas in a professional manner Assists with resolution of problems and irregularities that occur during testing and the preparation of irregularity Ability to adhere to University's policies and procedures, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion and in alignment with the Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations Performs assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to the established practices and procedures with minimum supervision within the assigned time frame, while maintaining a professional attitude at all times Must have a reliable attendance and be flexible to work varied hours to include days, evenings, and some Saturdays. Perform other duties as assigned Perform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Physical Activities Working Conditions Additional Information Must be flexible to work Monday through Friday to support Testing Center's schedule: Morning, Mid-Afternoon, or Evening and at least one Saturday per month. A remote work schedule is not available for this position.
