Director of Design/Planning/Outreach and San Antonio Operations

We are seeking a senior-level professional to join our growing San Antonio office as a Director of Operations and lead in areas such as urban design, planning, landscape architecture, and/or community outreach. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and work on exciting projects that impact both local and national communities. A hybrid work schedule is offered, with in-person office leadership at least three times a week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Leadership: Work alongside fellow leaders to guide multidisciplinary teams in design and planning projects.
• Project Management: Oversee project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and client relationships, ensuring on-time and on-budget project completion.
• Hands-On Design: Actively participate in the design and planning of streetscapes, parks, healthcare facilities, master plans, and more.
• Financial Oversight: Lead the financial health of the San Antonio office, including budget reviews and managing office operations.
• Client Development: Build and maintain client relationships, assist with proposals, and identify new business opportunities.
• Office Operations: Manage daily office operations, ensuring a positive environment for staff, consistent communication, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Planning, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 10 years of professional experience in planning, community development, or public policy.
• Proven experience leading design teams, managing projects, and overseeing budgets and schedules.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and lead meetings effectively.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud (Deltek a plus).
• Licensed in any state (Texas preferred).
