Overview We are looking for a Business Development Specialist . Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers in the government contracting space. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service. Responsibilities Serve as senior leader to work within IPSecure's business development team to develop, interact, and execute a robust business growth strategy. Engage and work closely with team peers to develop a multi-year pipeline, drive new business growth, and lead proposal and business development activities. Experience with analyzing and executing capture plans for system development and maintenance efforts or technical programs, including leading the business development life cycle from opportunity identification to proposal development. Assists capture efforts activities to include but not limited to conducting market analysis / competitor analysis , gate reviews, coordinating teaming activities , proposal color reviews, and technical/management writing. Challenge and improve the baseline business constantly and conceptualize and propose new capability /pursuit ideas for future growth based on client needs. Develop and maintain robust, collaborative relationships throughout industry and government. Explore multiple sourcing channels to develop leads ie conferences, cold calls, meetings with prospective customers. Stay current with market conditions and trends. Basic Qualifications DoD Government/Military Experience Required TS/SCI clearance 5+ years of experience in developing and executing business strategies to achieve successful, quality growth. 4+ years of business development experience in Federal Contracting space. Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements. TS/SCI clearance is required. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience with technical work in the DoD. Knowledge of DoD government contracts, acquisition, and proposal processes. Demonstrated experience identifying and capturing federal cybersecurity opportunities. Direct knowledge of Federal procurement, Federal government contract vehicles, FAR/DFAR, and experience writing and directing the creation of contracts. Experience in finding Federal/Government opportunities through federal procurement systems (SAM.GOV) and other federal government market sources. Able to research and understand US Federal Government Policies, Bills (IIJA, IRA etc). Travel required per business need. Bachelor's degree or equivalent military or work experience in business or a related field. Experience presenting to executive audiences in government and civilian settings. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. "Self-starter" attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit.
