Description Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Forward Support Engineer that will establish network information requirements in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale networking infrastructure (CAN, WAN); design architecture to include the software, hardware and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces; and they will analytically and systematically evaluate problems of workflows and network usage and develop appropriate corrective action. Responsibilities: Oversee the integration of a proprietary cyber training network environment.
Configure and support internal or external networks.
Document network events, to include network diagrams, and proactively seek solutions to outages, etc.
Support the design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of a wide variety of network routers, switches, firewalls, and IDS/IPS devices.
Maintain all systems, applications, security, and network configurations, troubleshoot network performance, and coordinate repairs covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements. Requirements 5+ years of experience in a broad range of technical task assignments.
Establishing Layer 1 connectivity between networking devices (Cat 5 and fiber)
Troubleshooting Layer 1 connections with Fluke or optical testers.
Working with media converters.
Configuring taclanes, especially the KG-175 series.
IAT Level II Security Certification (Security + CE or GSEC or SSCP or CCNA-Security).
Cisco router and switch experience.
Microsoft Visio experience.
Ability to work independently.
US Citizen and Top Secret/SCI Clearance Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Help Desk ticketing experience.
Juniper experience.
