Grant Accountant

Grant Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Monitor sub-awards and maintain grant-related financial activities, including ledger entries, expenditure reviews, and compliance with financial policies.
  • Prepare and reconcile grant activity reports, manage invoice reimbursements, and oversee the grant closeout process.
  • Ensure adherence to governmental financial guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain grant coding processes.
  • Assist in financial reporting and time/effort tracking.
  • Conduct cost analyses and create statistical reports.
  • Support the annual Uniform Guidance audit by preparing schedules and reconciling grants with financial statements.
  • Act as a liaison between auditors and grant personnel.
  • Oversee restricted fund accounts, including transaction approvals and budget management.
  • Collaborate with budget managers to maintain account accuracy and procedural compliance.

Grant Accountant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles, non-profit/governmental accounting, and financial document analysis.
  • Grant administration experience and knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.

Salary: up to $60,000.00
Working Model: 100% in office in San Antonio, TX
