Job description

Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist San Antonio, TX Summary: Candidate(s) will serve as a project lead for key programmatic knowledge/information management decisions in the occupational area related to the component or headquarters organization. Assists with critical analysis of pressing issues and required policy recommendations to management officials in formulating decisions regarding change management responsibilities or business needs, as well as in the design/development and evaluation of the ongoing and/or new program issues. Job Duties: Assists with strategic management. Provides specific recommendations related to policy and process improvement organizational performance methodologies designed to create and maximize the synthesis of classified and unclassified information as well as data into an intuitive and collaborative technological KM repository. Oversees knowledge sharing mechanisms that promotes data driven decision making and organizational awareness across business lines utilizing: Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, All Partners Area Network (APAN), IntelShare, Cloud One and other developing KM tools that provide full spectrum operational support for tracking workflow task completion, event scheduling, milestone action tracking, validation and synchronization of project efforts including assessments and training exercises. Develops system and delivers training modules for the Staff to promote culture of shared knowledge, data Driven Decision Making and organizational awareness across business lines. Provides KM staff training as well as change management corrective action planning for both classified and unclassified KM platforms. Collects, manages, and analyzes data sets from distinct courses in different formats, across various classified domains to improve data and information management in support of the command's mission. This includes supporting data/documentation analysis, File and Directory assessments, and the inculcation of business intelligence. Maintains a data and metadata inventory that is accessible to senior leadership. Participates as either a team leader or team member on cross functional teams designing and/or building KM solutions. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Operational experience as a team leader designing and/or building KM solutions Highly competent in MS Office Products including Power BI and SharePoint U.S. Passport Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Organizational Leadership, or similar field(s) Certification by a reputable KM Institution, or 7+ years' KM experience Operational experience coaching, teaching and mentoring personnel on KM solutions Ability to leverage industry tools and best practices such as Agile, SCRUM, Lean/Six Sigma, Continuous Process Improvement, and Lessons Leaned Management to identify, analyze, develop and utilize various concepts, solutions, and evaluative techniques in support of sharing data related to workforce management, training and development and other business services provided by the enterprise Other Requirements: US Citizenship required for this Position: Yes Performance Location: San Antonio, TX Relocation Assistance: No Clearance Type: Secret Travel Required: Yes (minimum of 20%) Working Environment: The usual daily work conditions will be in an office environment located at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. The job may require occasional lifting of computer and other equipment, generally not in excess of 50 lbs., usually in connection with equipment transport to off-site locations for events.
