As a Mexico Import / Export Specialist I, you'll be responsible for administrative tasks, data entry, and recordkeeping related to Mexico and U.S. Customs compliance activities for exports into H-E-B Mexico. You'll Partner with Procurement teams for MX and the U.S. to determine the best landed costs and terms of sale.

We are looking for:
- a related bachelor's or associate degree (preferred) and 0 - 2 years of experience
- OR 3+ years of experience in logistics or compliance
What is the work?
Compliance / Auditing:
- Receives / processes customs compliance inquiries and requests
- Performs data entry of all MX customs entries; maintains accurate customs records
- Ensures all exported items meet requirements for documentation, inspections, and certificate of analysis (COA) support for U.S. and MX government agencies
- Collaborates with internal teams, brokers, vendors, carriers, and suppliers to ensure customs compliance and address / resolve questions and issues
- Assists in researching / documenting reviews of customs compliance inquiries and requests
- Participates in / conducts customs compliance audits; may conduct audits with external stakeholders
- Proactively stays current on customs compliance-related regulations
Customer Service / Administration:
- Provides first-level customer service to resolve routine issues and questions
- Supports / educates internal Partners in customs compliance-related information
- Oversees / fulfills internal requests for required customs compliance supplies, required notices, forms, and other documents
- Works with U.S. and MX Procurement teams on items selection and qualification
- Ensures procurement teams understand total cost of goods, including transportation, duty, and labeling
- Participates on / leads cross-functional teams
- Performs Customs Compliance Specialist duties
- Works under limited supervision from detailed verbal and written instructions
What is your background?
- a related bachelor's or associate degree (preferred) and 0 - 2 years of experience
- OR 3+ years of experience in logistics or compliance
- Fluency in spoken and written Spanish
