Job description

Our client in San Antonio, Tx is looking for an experienced Production Control Specialist.
Job Title: Production Control Specialist
Pay rate: $25
Shift: 1st shift
Requirements: Must have experience, Pass a criminal background and drug screen
Responsibilities:

  • Distributes production schedules and work orders to departments as needed.
  • Reviews production schedules and customer demand, as well as work orders, to determine material requirements and priorities.
  • Maintains inventory levels of materials needed for production by reviewing customer demand and conducting daily or weekly inventory counts as needed.
  • Coordinates delivery arrangements if necessary.
  • Consults with department supervisors to evaluate progress and discuss required adjustments.
  • Coordinates with customers and vendors to manage shipping activities and resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitors raw material consumption.
  • Contacts suppliers to verify shipment details and coordinates transportation as needed.
  • Enter data into Excel pertaining to inventories, material receiving, transportation, or purchases.
  • Creates purchase orders and coordinates material receiving with vendors.
  • Conduct the vendor's registration as needed.
  • Prepare and compile a payment request report for vendor payment approval.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, especially Excel.
  • Supports layout arrangement on site as needed (line marking).
  • Performs other assigned duties as necessary.
  • Overtime expected and required on short notice, based on plant operations.
Qualifications
  • • Degree in related field preferred.
    • 2+ years of inventory/production control experience in manufacturing.
    •Strong mathematical skills, ability to understand and conduct basic arithmetic and statistical operations.
    •Proficiency in Microsoft Office with preferred Advanced Skills in Excel.
    •Ability to analyze data, validating accuracy and correcting errors.
    •Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload.
    • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Attention to detail a must.
    • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision and with ambiguity.
