POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for development, coordination, and management of projects and activities within Pediatric Palliative Care, to include project evaluation plans, timelines, and operational planning in support of key initiatives to provide a supportive, positive pediatric and neonatal patient and family experience across the continuum of care. Champions opportunities to optimize the pediatric and neonatal patient and family experience in partnership with an interdisciplinary team. It works collaboratively with a team of Palliative Care Pediatricians, Pediatric Chaplain, and Health System counterparts to coordinate efforts and focus on support where needed. Identifies areas in need of improvement and supports planning and evaluation efforts tailored to address the needs of children and families faced with life-threatening illnesses and complex healthcare needs. Creates customized reporting, assists in coordination of plans, events and interfaces with various teams in support of the pediatric and neonatal patient and family experience to include other Health System departments that provide clinical care and support to pediatric patients. Educates staff about Palliative Care and Bereavement tools and resources.

EQUIPMENT

Must have a high level of computer literacy/skills to include the use of commonly used programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Access and other statistical software is preferred.
