Application: apply here, or on our Careers - Metronome (), email your resume to Recommend this job and share with a friend Description: Our team will be supporting Platform One's Party Bus, a managed DevSecOps Platform as a Service (PaaS) for DoD organizations. This platform allows rapid, secure development, deployment, and delivery of software applications across multiple security levels (Impact Levels 2, 4, 5, and 6). Required Skills 10 Years Experience in DOD DevOps Certificate in IAT Level II (Security Plus or CompTia) 1. Coding & Automation: Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for scripting and automation tasks.
Experience with Bash or Shell scripting for system-level automation.
CI/CD Pipeline Development: Hands-on experience creating, modifying, and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
Knowledge of pipeline optimization and troubleshooting for various programming languages and development environments.
Version Control Systems: Strong experience with Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests (PRs).
Experience using platforms like GitLab, GitHub, or BitBucket. 2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Configuration as Code (CaC): Terraform: Deep knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, management, and automation in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GovCloud).
Experience writing and managing Terraform modules and using Terraform Cloud or Enterprise for team-based collaboration.
Ansible: Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management, orchestration, and automation of application deployments.
Experience creating and managing playbooks, roles, and Ansible Tower/AWX.
Kubernetes (K8s): Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications in production.
Proficient in Helm (Kubernetes package manager) for managing Kubernetes applications with templated configurations.
Containers: Expertise in Docker for building and deploying containerized applications.
Experience managing and deploying hardened containers from Iron Bank (DoD's repository of secure, pre-hardened containers).
Configuration Management: Experience with Big Bang (Platform One's CaC tool) for secure configuration of cloud environments.
Proficient in managing the DoD DevSecOps Reference Design and incorporating it into infrastructure setups. 3. Cloud Technologies & Environments: Cloud Providers: Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure Government for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure.
Experience working with Cloud One (Air Force cloud platform).
Infrastructure Automation: Strong knowledge of Kubernetes Operators for automating the deployment and management of applications within Kubernetes clusters. 4. Cybersecurity & Compliance: Security Automation: Familiarity with security scanning and automated vulnerability management tools (e.g., Twistlock, Aqua, or Anchore).
Ability to integrate security tools into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous security checks.
DoD Cybersecurity Requirements: Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes for maintaining accreditation and security compliance for DoD systems.
