We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a senior test engineer for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the Air Force Division cyber warfare mission systems. JOB DETAILS LOCATION: San Antonio, TX JOB STATUS: FT TRAVEL: 5% REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Masters degree and 12 years of directly related experience, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of masters degree, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 20 years' experience in lieu of degree. Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility DoD development or operational test experience DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Knowledge of DoD and USAF test principles and policies as described in the 63- and 99- series of publications. Experience in an LDTO or OTA highly preferred Experience in an ITT highly preferred RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with program office, users, LDTO, and OTA to plan, execute, and report on DT&E for cyber warfare mission systems. Document the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing. Use Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs. Independently prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates test plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise. Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity. Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks. Devise new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness. Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification). Resolve schedule conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead. Operate with general instructions; but review select portions of work in detail to measure adequacy of approach, execution, and presentation.
