Position Summary: The Kenjya-Trusant Group is seeking a Data Scientist to support our customer in San Antonio, TX. Essential Job Functions: Provide data science support to CSD by devising strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets and triage bulk data to offer rapid defense solutions and/or countermeasures.
Perform data mining/curation, modeling, and visualization to support analytical needs and assessments.
Enable the CSD mission with automation techniques.
Minimum Required Qualifications: Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required. Degree must be in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science.
Degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Information Systems, Engineering), a degree in the physical/hard sciences (e.g., physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy), or other science disciplines with a substantial computational component (i.e., behavioral, social, and life) may be considered if it includes a concentration of coursework (typically 5 or more courses) in advanced mathematics (typically 300 level or higher; such as linear algebra, probability and statistics, machine learning) and/or computer science (e.g., algorithms, programming, data structures, data mining, artificial intelligence).
Optional Degree Requirement and Number of Years Experience A Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
An Associate's degree plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly.
Knowledge working with Big Data, dataflows, Machine Learning.
Familiar with analytics in GME and Jupiter notebooks and Spark.
Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $120,000.00 - $170,000.
