Job description

Texas Building Supply, a division of USLBM, serving the major markets in Texas with five building material yards and one window distribution facility across Austin, Houston, Dallas-Ft. Worth and San Antonio.

A Brief Overview
A Millwork Install and Service Supervisor will supervise the work of a team of Millwork Install and Service technicians and leads. This position is responsible for overseeing the installation and service process in an efficient manner.

What you will do
Work with other installers to install millwork products as assigned and trained.

Follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements when installing products.

Track time and materials as required for each installation project.

Maintain all equipment in good order and report any malfunctions to field supervisor.

Operate all equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Follow all company policies and procedures.

Provide quality customer service.

Attend all training to learn new technology of building materials and installation methods as required by location management.

Cross-train in other areas to expand knowledge and expertise.

Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.

Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.

Other duties as assigned by location Management.

Criteria for Supervisor:

Supervise 8 or more associates (direct & indirect reports)

Budgeting responsibilities (may or may not have full P&L accountability)

Hire/fire input

Goal setting & communication (directly or relaying from management)

Provide performance feedback

Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience Qualifications
4-6 years millwork installation/service experience Required

Skills and Abilities
Read and use a measuring tape and other required tools for complete installation

Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written skills and the ability to provide and/or follow detailed instructions

Excellent teamwork & customer relationships.

Demonstration of leadership (all required):

Mentor new associates

Willingness to train others

Safety committee engagement

Participation in US1 Continuous Improvement Projects
