Duties Responsible for applying professional knowledge of processes, techniques, methods and principles of wild land fire prevention, mitigation and restoration in the Basin and Range ecosystem. Act as installation liaison pertaining to DOD guidance on wild land fire directions, policies, rules and regulations. Collaborate with federal and state partner agencies for wild land fire coordination. Coordinate with test officers of wild land fire risk mitigation measures. Habitat restoration and Invasive Species Treatments. Determines programming needs for implementation of the Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP). Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Work is required to be performed nights, weekends and holidays. This position requires possession of or the ability to obtain and maintain a valid, State-issued motor vehicle driver's license to conduct field surveys. I have a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. I have a combination of education and experience which includes courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Evaluating impacts and coordination of mission activities on natural resources, such as species conservation, wild land fire management, range land restoration and hunting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Although a- Degree is required that degree CANNOT substitute your education for the required specialized experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
