Job description

We have a current need for a Mid-Level Network Technician at Hill AFB in Utah and Scott AFB in Illinois. This role supports DOD missions and brings exposure to an enterprise level NOC environment. We are looking for those that have prior networking experience relating to routers, switches, sub-routing protocols, firewalls, and VOIP among others. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 annually. • This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret)
• Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required Required Skills: 1. Mid Level Network Admin experience. Someone that has a strong troubleshooting mindset
2. Sec+ certification
3. Secret or Top Secret clearance. If only a Secret we will upgrade to a top secret during the contract portion of the contract to hire PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct network and telecommunications system incident investigation.
• Identify and document network errors and solutions.
• Analyze network and telecommunications alarms and identify potential issues.
• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, and routers to optimize performance and ensure the desired security posture is attained and maintained.
• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices and phone systems Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma and 3+ yrs of relevant technical discipline; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Hold DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.
• Able to work in a shift work environment as it is a 24/7 operation supporting the DOD.
• General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
