Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking an Electronics Technician with SCADA Experience to join our team in our Magna (Bacchus), Utah location Role description & Responsibilities: This position will be an integral part of our SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) team, responsible for performing field service and assisting the design, start-up, and troubleshooting of Building Automation System (BAS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems. Job duties include but are not limited to: Perform instrument calibration. Maintenance, troubleshooting and assist with repair of instrumentation and controls. Assist in project startup and commissioning. Perform loop checks. Read and interpret wiring diagrams. Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams. Read and interpret technical instructions and specifications. Troubleshoot and modify existing BAS and PLC code. Troubleshoot and modify existing HMI and SCADA applications. Ability to work independently, as well as, on a team. Communicating with customers. Assist with documenting work performed on service reports. Perform and maintain software control of SCADA system.
Education and Experience: High School degree plus 4 years of related experience. Associates degree in Electronics, or related technology degree and 2 years of related experience is preferred.
Position may be filled at a higher level requiring High School with 6 years of related experience or Associate degree in Electronics with 4 years of related experience.
Basic Qualifications: Experience performing instrument calibrations Possess and apply hands on mechanical skills Electrical and/or electronics troubleshooting skills Read and interpret wiring diagrams Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams Read and interpret technical instructions and specifications Proficiency with multimeter and other electronic test equipment Proficiency with hand tools Strong computer skills Foundational skills in networking technologies Strength in Microsoft operating systems and Office Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent customer service skills The ability to work independently, as well as, on a team. Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA). Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications: Hands On HVAC experience Experience with PLC and/or BAS programming Previous manufacturing or plant experience in automation Networking - TCP/IP, Lan, Wan, Vlans Routing Communication protocols - Modbus, Bacnet, Allen Bradley Ethernet Microsoft - SQL, Access, Excel SCADA experience, minimum of 2 years StruxureWare Plant Operation experience, minimum of 2 yearsSalary Range: $54,400 - $90,600
Salary Range 2: $64,700 - $107,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
