The Propulsion Systems (PS) Business Unit focuses on solid rock motors for diverse Government and Commercial customers. We are seeking a Sr Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst -Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will support our Launch & Missile Defense Systems - Propulsion Systems Programs. Our analyst will be located at our Magna, UT facility. Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Setting up cost control system, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled Subject matter expert level involvement in our ME data integrations process Maintaining Primavera/P6 and Cobra data bases to ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly reports Problem solving capability in Primavera/P6 and Cobra in order to help across a wide range of programs Training of other team members and other departments in using current system tools such as BI Analytics, Primavera/P6, Cobra, and other generated reports Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly financial reporting/forecasting and quarterly EACs Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies
Basic Qualification: Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years professional work experience - OR - Master's Degree and 6+ years professional work experience Additional 4+ years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree Microsoft Office experience, including MS Excel, will be needed for the role Experience working with Earned Value Management (EVM) Financial or accounting experience Experience with SAP, Deltek CostPoint, Deltek Cobra/MPM, Oracle Primavera
Preferred Qualifications: Department of Defense (DoD) experience Aerospace, Space, or Defense industry experience Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Excellent problem solving and organizational skillsSalary Range: $95,000 - $142,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
