Description:

We are currently hiring for an energetic and experienced Career Services Coordinator to join our Student Success Team at Joyce University. The Career Services Coordinator provides administrative support in student affairs in advisement and career services. The Career Services Coordinator demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills, advanced computer skills, and the ability to interact professionally with many people. The Career Services Coordinator organizes multiple projects and meets project deadlines. This position is located on our Draper, UT campus.

WHAT YOU DO EVERYDAY:

  • Assist with the design and implementation of comprehensive career services programs for students and alumni. Promote student use and access to Career Services. Use data to assess program effectiveness and to make improvements.

  • Assist students and alumni in creating resumes and cover letters, either one on one or through educational workshops. Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback to enhance interview skills.
  • Works closely with academic departments to align career services with institutional learning outcomes. Ensure Career Services is gathering and tracking the career placement data required by programmatic accreditation.

  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and job placements. Prepare reports on career services outcomes and success stories. Prepares required placement reporting for accrediting agencies
  • Collaborates with alumni services to engage alumni in mentoring and networking activities.
  • Partner with other campus departments, including clinical relations and academic fieldwork coordinators, involved in career development efforts.
  • Cultivate relationships with local, regional, and national employers.
  • Develops employment opportunities and partnerships for graduates by being familiar with market trends. Serve as a strategic guide and employment resource for graduates. Assists graduates is securing employment in their field of study. Maintain database of local, regional, and national job openings.
  • Arrange career fairs, employer information sessions, and virtual events. Assists with student events such as student appreciation, new student orientation, pinning ceremonies, and commencement ceremony.
  • Provides student support as needed

Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Required education - Associates degree, Bachelor's degree preferred

Required experience - 2-3 years in a relatable field, Career Services in Higher Education experience preferred

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Location: Draper, UT

Employment Status: Full time

Hours of Employment: 40 hrs./week
