Job description
We are looking to add another HVAC (aka Thermal) Technical Specialist uses Critical Infrastructure Data Centers and precision cooling experience and knowledge in highly specialized HVAC/refrigeration equipment to service customer contracts. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, adjusting, service and thermal repair in commercial and industrial buildings as it relates to data centers. WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
Uses exceptional operational understanding of Thermal systems including split systems, DX systems, glycol, controls, etc.
Trains customers and contractors on use of Thermal equipment
Performs standard Preventative Maintenance duties on all Liebert/Vertiv equipment efficiently and without requiring supervision. Understanding of Liebert/Vertiv iCOM control system.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, change out compressors and failed parts, etc. on all equipment.
Proficiently solders, brazes refrigerant lines, water lines, etc.
Communicates daily with dispatcher reporting job by job information about equipment ID, estimated time to complete job, labor hours and parts used.
Communicate and work together with sales associates and senior leveled associates with customer solutions.
Diagnose network issues and work with a variety of vendors to achieve successful unit integration to building management systems (BMS).
Reads, interprets, utilizes schematics, and control circuits.
Interfaces with the customer on a professional basis and presents Liebert/Vertiv and DVL in a positive light.
Works in a safe manner. Follows industry standard safety practices including knowledge of MSDS, tool safety, equipment safety and ladder safety guidelines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
One-year certificate from a college or trade school; and five-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient working with Liebert/Vertiv equipment required; At least a few years experience preferred.
EPA Certification
Able to work independently on service calls
Recent experience using a vacuum pump, micron gauge and a refrigerant reclaim machine
Valid drivers license to drive to customer sites in Company provided vehicle
Excellent customer service skills
Available to perform scheduled on-call & overtime duties
Prior safety training and OSHA 10 preferred
Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

The pay range is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. or higher based on relevant experience plus bonus, work truck, laptop and iPhone.
