Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Inspector to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah! The roles and responsibilities include: The Inspector uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds. Uses various measuring devices as described in the Assembly Instruction. Inspector will utilize released build documentation to make good part/bad part decisions. Inspector will utilize drawings, part list, Assembly Instructions, Standard Shop Practices, dial indicators, micrometers, scales and other tools as defined by the work instruction. Inspector will utilize SAP (Standards, Applications and Process) daily to interface with production hardware. Inspector will review contracts and shipping paperwork for accuracy.
Basic Qualifications for Inspector 3: High School Diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience Ability to read blue prints and part lists Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Ability to sit for long periods of time Ability to stand for long periods of time Computer literate Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekend support as required US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications: J-STD Training (including color acuity) IPCA 610/620 Training Torque Training Ability to work in an ESD environment Ability to spend shift in area personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to review and understand Contracts Prior knowledge of SAP Experience in determining conforming versus non-conforming

Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
