Role : Manual Interface Tester Banking Domain
Location : UT

Job Description:
Domain: Core Banking / Retail Banking , Deposits module (Preferred), Business scenarios
Technical: Strong understanding of Software testing concepts, SQL, Web Services, API, Enterprise Service Bus
Tools: Test Management Tools (Defect Management, Requirement Management, Test Case Management), IBM ALM / MS ALM (Visual Studio, TFS and MTM), E2E testing, Soap UI (Preferred), R-Studio (Preferred)
The candidate will be responsible for the following:
Should be able to understand high level Functional and Technical requirement documentation, System Integration design documents and participate in design review sessions
Should be able to size the work based upon available documentations to lead
Should be able to design and create component test plans / test cases /scripts to validate requirements
Should be able to Identify test data needs in advance based upon test cases/ scripts conditions
Should be able to execute test cases/scripts as per approach defined in test plan document
Should be able to perform formal review of test artifacts (Test Plan, Test Scenario Matrix, Test Cases/ Scripts etc.)
Should be able to write SQL queries to validate extract data/ XML responses
Should be able to document defects in defect management tool, providing status to project managers
Should be able to re-test defects and re-execute corresponding failed test cases/ scripts to verify fixes in a timely manner
Should be able to Regression-test previously tested functionality to identify regression issues
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of quality assurance and Quality control activities
Strong experience in core banking system testing
Experienced software QA tester with a min of 5 years direct experience in application/ data validation and data flow testing between systems
Strong understanding of Batch files and XML request/ Response validation
Strong SQL query writing to compare extract file / XML response data with Database
Strong understanding of Core Banking Run calendar (End of Day, End of Quarter, End of Year etc.)
Strong QA mindset of questioning details for better clarity
Strong background in testing in an Agile/ SCRUM methodology
Strong experience in industry standard test management tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
Experience with industry leading core baking systems is preferred
Strong deposit domain knowledge will be a big plus
