Job description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Mechanical Contractor's Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our dynamic team. The QC Technician will play a critical role in ensuring that our mechanical construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control Oversight:
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical installations to identify and address quality issues promptly.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to establish and monitor quality objectives.
2. Document Management:
• Maintain comprehensive records of all quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
• Ensure that all project documentation related to quality control is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to project stakeholders.
3. Training and Education:
• Provide training and guidance to project personnel on quality control processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
4. Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination:
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that materials and equipment meet specified quality standards.
5. Client Engagement:
• Interface with clients to address quality-related concerns, answer questions, and provide updates on quality control initiatives.



Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical contracting with a focus on quality control.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, NFPA, IPC/IMC, TAS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
• Experience in semiconductor and/or pharmaceutical industries is a plus.
• Experience inspecting welds (with or without certification) is a plus.
