Job description

Duties Direct an organization that provides support to the mission directorates in such varied areas as production scheduling and control, material storage and distribution, Supply Chain Management, Sales and Operations Planning, budget, etc. Develop, and recommend for approval, proposals for policies related to budget, manpower and production planning and control of mission directorates. Oversee development, implementation and maintenance of the installations internal operating budget/program, including the long/short-range planning for Base Operations. Administrative control of financial resources for the installation with the responsibility for ensuring that financial obligations are created within the laws and directives established for control. Coordinate with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) assisting in maintenance of the accounting system to meet managerial internal and external reporting requirements for the installation. Provide advice and assistance on financial systems and implementations of updates and changes to all supported activities. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees and provides technical oversight. Make decisions on technical and personnel problems presented by subordinate supervisors. Coordinate with the Commander and other senior management officials of their organization in the development of the organization's primary mission goals and objectives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
