POSITION SUMMARY
The Stratton Winter Sports Club U14 Head Coach will provide the highest level of modern Alpine coaching to prepare U14 athletes for all levels of competition. Must be able to make quick and effective judgement calls and coaching decisions to ensure that athletes are using the best practices in the safest manner possible. This job will require significant travel to other resorts. This is a part-time seasonal role. Uncertified rate of pay $18.50/hr. Certified rate of pay starts at $21.50/hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Execute a comprehensive in-season programming plan collaborated with the Program Manager
- Recognize industry trends and advancements and incorporate these methods into seasonal goals and daily training plans
- Maintain positive communication plan to effectively inform all constituents of training schedules, critical program updates, specific event details, expanded training opportunities, program policies and philosophies
- Understand and uphold concepts for growth opportunity and program improvements
- Collaborate to establish best practices, work under pressure, and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Maintain excellent guest and employee rapport and ensure customer satisfaction remains at the highest level possible
- Maintain appropriate asset protection and inventory control
- Prepare and supervise training and competition venues to ensure safety while athletes are training and competing
- Other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent
Experience:
- Previous experience coaching
- Previous experience, knowledge, and understanding of US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA rules and regulations, and venue maintenance required
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA membership, required.
- Current Safesport, CPR and First Aid and CDC Heads Up Concussion, required.
- Additional industry certifications or endorsements strongly preferred
- Effective communication skills
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Regular event travel may be required. Reimbursement is given for authorized travel expenses.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires work on evenings, weekends and holidays.
