Job description

Our dynamic team of talented physical therapists provide hands-on, one to one, clinical care. Responsibilities include management of orthopedic patients of all ages with services that advance healing, minimize disability and enhance quality of life. We focus on functional rehab and performance by collaborating with orthopedic referral sources, especially in the area of total joint replacements.

We provide a positive, encouraging work environment and have excellent clinical staff retention. This is a small site which provides a warm and supportive environment ideal for the patients seen at this location.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Evaluates patients and develops treatment plans appropriate for patient functional limitations.
  • Skillfully applies therapeutic techniques to address patient treatment needs.
  • Develops trusted relationships with referring providers, contributing to marketing and community outreach efforts.
  • Helps ensure well-run clinical operations by completing necessary documentation and billing in a quality manner.
  • Manages caseload effectively
  • Demonstrates the flexibility to accommodate and facilitate proficient patient care, including a willingness to provide care at more than one rehab therapy site as needed.
  • Stays current with trends and practices in therapeutic evaluation and treatment, supporting evidence-based practice.
  • Participates in clinical staff education, meetings and quality improvement programs for patient care and staff development projects.
  • Demonstrates excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Supervises physical therapy students to develop their clinical skills and ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
  • Complies with all pertinent rules and regulations within the State Practice Act and the American Physical Therapy Association's Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors of Science (or higher) degree from an Accredited Physical Therapy program. Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of experience ideal, will consider a new graduate with strong orthopedic clinical experience.
  • Experience in treating patients with total joint replacements preferred.
