Join our team to work collaboratively with cross-functional groups in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that meet Section 508 compliance standards. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive accessibility evaluations of existing applications, providing actionable recommendations to improve usability for individuals with disabilities. Create and maintain documentation related to 508 compliance processes, including testing protocols and accessibility reports. Apply coding best practices and frameworks to develop accessible web applications that are compatible with assistive technologies. Engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to ensure compliance with accessibility guidelines. Stay informed about the latest trends and regulations pertaining to 508 compliance and accessibility standards. Assist in training and mentoring team members on best practices for accessibility and compliance requirements. Required Skills : Proven experience in software development, with a focus on web applications. Strong understanding of Section 508 compliance Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and familiarity with frameworks like React or Angular. Experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, Axe) and methodologies. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
