The Information Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for providing expert technical guidance and leadership in the architecture, deployment, and sustainment of complex physical and virtual server infrastructures, as well as various enterprise applications. The SME will be instrumental in managing large-scale IT incidents, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and remediation, and maintaining robust IT service management practices. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both Windows and Unix/Linux environments, as well as extensive experience with network systems, directory services, and IT security. Job Responsibilities: Provide expert technical guidance in the architecture, deployment, and sustainment of a large, complex server infrastructure, both physical and virtual. Oversee and manage large-scale IT incidents, directing program staff in troubleshooting and remediation efforts to ensure swift resolution. Utilize an Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) system, such as Remedy, to manage and track IT services, incidents, and problem resolution. Administer and maintain Active Directory, including group policies, group permissions, DNS, DHCP, and DFS. Manage and support Windows Server 2012 and higher, as well as Windows 10 operating systems, with a strong understanding of Unix/Linux environments. Provide technical engineering expertise across various IT domains, including networks, servers, Storage Area Networks (SANs), and systems management. Support and maintain directory systems and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Deliver IT customer support and training, ensuring effective use and management of IT resources. Handle computer server and workstation installation, diagnosis, and repair, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Engage in technical writing, system maintenance, and information technology project management to support ongoing IT initiatives. Develop and implement computer scripts for automation and system testing, improving efficiency and reliability. Apply comprehensive knowledge of computer security management, database administration, design, and management to enhance IT operations.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, or Management Information Systems.4
Experience: 7 years of documented experience
Certifications: Must possess the appropriate DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 Certification
