Job description

Join us as a Lead Cloud Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. You'll work with cross-functional teams to implement DevSecOps practices, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and simplify cloud architectures for enhanced efficiency. This role offers the chance to lead a team of talented engineers, promote automation, and shape cloud solutions that meet critical security, performance, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities •Strategic Collaboration & Roadmap Development •Collaborate with program leads and cloud architects to create a clear, actionable roadmap aligned with the project's vision. •Partner with customers and application teams to deliver cloud solutions that meet security, monitoring, and performance requirements. •CI/CD and DevSecOps Leadership •Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, promoting continuous integration and deployment for streamlined software delivery. •Champion DevSecOps practices across teams, driving automation and consistency in engineering standards. •Architecture & Operations Simplification •Simplify complex cloud architectures to improve maintainability and operational efficiency. •Lead initiatives to create "as a service" models for streamlined, cross-functional team collaboration. •Mentorship & Team Development •Mentor team members to foster their professional growth and build a high-performing Cloud Engineering team. •Promote a culture of excellence by establishing engineering standards and leading by example. Required Skills •Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance. •Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (4 years of relevant work experience can substitute; an Associate's degree plus 2 years may also be considered). •Experience: •8+ years managing and executing large-scale IT projects, with at least 2 years leading enterprise-wide IT solutions in the private or public sector. •Proficient in project management for complex IT initiatives, including Earned Value Analysis and architectural analysis. •5+ years leading cloud application development using tools like Terraform, Python/Java, CI/CD pipelines, AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, and cloud security tools. Desired Skills •Proven ability to enhance efficiency, performance, scalability, security, and maintainability through technical improvements. •Strong communication skills and experience in client-facing roles, focused on maximizing satisfaction.
