Job description

BlueHalo's Procurement and Supply Chain organization is seeking a motivated Director of Procurement. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement in sourcing processes. The Director will play a pivotal role in vendor management, procurement negotiations, and supply chain efficiency to support the company's operational goals. Additionally, the Director will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization to align procurement activities with broader business objectives. This position will report to the Vice President of Procurement and lead multiple procurement teams, providing strategic procurement support across BlueHalo and its affiliates through the Financial and Shared Services organization. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with 25% travel required. Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service levels. Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, and conduct risk assessments. Contract Negotiations: Lead negotiations for high-value contracts, ensuring favorable terms that mitigate risks and provide value. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop procurement teams, ensuring high performance and alignment with corporate goals. Budget Oversight: Manage procurement budgets, track spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards. Sourcing Strategies: Establish and execute sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and maintain supply chain reliability. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure procurement practices comply with FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze procurement data to identify trends, present insights, and monitor key performance metrics for continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 8+ years in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Experience managing multi-million-dollar procurement budgets. Proven success in leading procurement teams through DCMA CPSRs. Expertise in contract negotiation, vendor management, and sourcing best practices. Strong leadership and team management abilities with excellent negotiation and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of procurement systems, CPSRs, FAR, DFARS, and related regulations. Proficiency in ERP platforms and supply chain management tools. Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Ability to collaborate across multiple departments. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) Proven track record of reducing procurement costs while maintaining quality. Experience with global sourcing and supply chain management in a multi-national organization. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
