Industrial Security Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) We are looking for a seasoned Industrial Security Support SME to join our team in support of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security (OUSD I&S). This role is vital to ensuring industrial security within the defense sector, and you'll have the chance to influence policy, assess risks, and enhance security processes that protect national defense assets. Key Responsibilities •Risk Assessment & Mitigation: •Conduct thorough security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them. •Employee Training & Compliance: •Provide training and guidance to ensure employees are aware of security protocols and remain compliant with industrial security policies. •Industrial Security Expertise: •Serve as the main point of contact for all industrial security inquiries, ensuring best practices are followed. •Policy Review & Development: •Contribute to the development, review, and coordination of industrial security policies, reviewing approximately five policy documents each week for security equities. •Defense Industrial Base Engagement: •Support and review national-level industrial security issues impacting the defense industrial base (approximately five letters per year). •Working Group Participation: •Actively participate in working groups such as the National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee (NISPPAC) and other defense industry-related forums. What You'll Bring •Active TS/SCI Clearance (required) •Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution •10 years of experience with DoD and national-level industrial security policies and procedures •5 years of experience handling industrial security issues at a national level and providing recommendations based on policy •3 years of experience developing, drafting, and coordinating policy, including DOD Directives, Instructions, and Manuals •3 years of experience supporting key working groups, such as NISPPAC and Defense Industrial Base Cyber Security Program •3 years of experience completing staff actions in response to leadership requests within the Industrial Security Program Preferred Qualifications •Security Fundamentals Professional Certification from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency or equivalent certification Why Join The Team?
