Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) - ACAS Expert for Classified Environment We are looking for a skilled Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) with deep expertise in the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) to join our team in Arlington, VA. In this high-impact role, you will design, implement, and maintain security measures for a highly classified hybrid environment, ensuring a robust security posture that aligns with stringent standards like the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG). Key Responsibilities •Technical Security Expertise •Design, implement, and maintain advanced security solutions that integrate throughout the system lifecycle. •Apply your knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices to enhance the security posture of classified systems. •Configuration and Management of Security Tools •Configure, administer, and maintain key security tools, including ACAS, Splunk, and the Enterprise Security Suite (ESS). •Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other critical configurations, ensuring alignment with JSIG. •Operate and maintain SIEM systems, IDS, DLP tools, and security audit logs, ensuring effective monitoring and response capabilities. •Collaboration and Support •Work closely with ISSMs, ISSOs, and other stakeholders to ensure security measures align with organizational policies. •Support Cyber Analysts by configuring tools and providing data necessary for security assessments and incident response. •Document security assessments, configurations, and incidents, supporting detailed reporting requirements. •Documentation and Compliance •Develop and maintain documentation for RMF processes, including SOPs, security plans, risk assessments, and POA&Ms. •Ensure consistent compliance with JSIG and other relevant DoD and IC security standards and policies. •Continuous Improvement and Training •Stay informed on the latest security trends and continuously enhance security measures to address emerging threats. •Train team members on security tools and best practices, sharing knowledge to strengthen team capabilities. Minimum Requirements •Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly. •Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (4 years of relevant experience may substitute). •Experience: •8+ years in cybersecurity or related fields. •2+ years working with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and as a Cyber/Security Analyst for federal information systems. •2+ years of cybersecurity experience with the DoD or Intelligence Community. •Solid familiarity with RMF, NIST FIPS 199/200, and relevant NIST publications. Desired Skills & Qualifications •Certification: IAT Level III certification (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH) or ability to obtain within 6 months. •SAP/IC Experience: Familiarity with SAP environments and the Intelligence Community. •JSIG Knowledge: Experience applying JSIG standards to security configurations. •Technical Adaptability: Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-security settings, with a self-starter mentality and strong follow-through. •Communication Skills: Proven ability to clearly communicate security concepts and requirements in both written and verbal formats. •Cloud & Agile Experience: Familiarity with cloud security practices and agile methodologies is a plus.
