Job description

Duties You will provide Info Security/Assurance and Cyber Security policies and directives for Navy and Marine Corps Sensitive Compartmented Info customers. You will be a representative in working groups to develop security policy initiatives and solutions. You will maintain audit trail and statistical records/metrics of all problems and conditions reported by the customer to detect trends adverse to maintaining a quality ONR info infrastructure. You will ensure safeguards such as audit routines, file system segregation, discretionary access controls are enabled on ONR. You will provide comprehensive IA Security and Incident Response training to personnel responsible for classified (secret) info systems up to SCI. You will ensure ONR is compliant with Navy Info Assurance Work Force policy. You will assist with Privilege User and Authorized-to-Operate process by ensuring requests are properly submitted and processed in a timely manner. You will report virus attacks to Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command and Naval Network Warfare Command. You will plan IA services, capital planning and investment control for IA projects, security resource management, security architecture management, and infrastructure planning and management. You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band (NO-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Managing system security evaluations, audits, inspections and reviews; 2) Developing systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures; 3) Facilitating program requirements. and objectives by providing guidance, policies and oversight for the day-to-day security operations for command Managers; 4) Identifies tools/resources for IA/Cyber monitoring; and 5) Identifying potential threats, conducts vulnerability/risk assessments and security inspections.
