Responsibilities What You'll Do: This position will support the entire network operational infrastructure for the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU). A CompTIA Security+ certification is required within the first six months of the hire date. Candidate must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. The candidate will be responsible for creating network accounts, supporting the entire organization's staff, and working closely with the IM&T group. Provide support for client servers, hardware, and software, troubleshooting, and diagnostic procedures. Write standard operating procedures (SOP) for IT policies. Key Responsibilities: Candidate will provide service to all DSCU staff, including the president, vice president, and chief of staff Great customer service skills are a must. Work in conjunction with the DSCA IM&T group to solve various IT issues. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: Candidate must have a BA in an IT field. Candidate can have five years of direct IT experience in lieu of a degree. Certifications/Licenses: Comp TIA Sec+ or obtain within six months of hire. Experience: Candidate must have an IT, software, and hardware application background. Good customer service skills are required as you will work closely and support colleagues. Other Requirements: Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need the ability to access US only data system Desired Qualifications: Experience: Experience with organized processes. Skills & Technology Used Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Possesses both analytical and interpersonal skills. Good problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills/techniques. Business Partner/Effective Communicator: English language skills to communicate and negotiate with vendors. Strong communicators must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally. Ability to lead projects and direct employees. Customer service-oriented, detail-focused, proactive behavior, and multi-tasking capability. Software: Microsoft Office Suite Excel Outlook SharePoint Personal computer, printer, copy machine, and other general office equipment.
