401K What will your day look like? As a Network (Operations) Engineer, you will: Design and deploy networking solutions, including LAN, WAN, and VPNs, across cloud and on-premises environments.
Perform capacity planning to ensure scalable and efficient network performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate their requirements into effective network designs.
Implement network segmentation strategies to boost both security and performance.
Monitor network performance, identify availability issues, and conduct thorough root cause analysis to resolve problems.
Safeguard systems against cybersecurity threats by managing firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Provide support for enterprise cloud applications and infrastructure through automated configuration management and infrastructure-as-code.
Document the current environment, conduct gap analysis, and create materials to outline solutions and recommendations.
Mentor junior team members while contributing individually to projects.
Develop and implement improvements for service delivery, focusing on ongoing enhancement of solutions.
Deliver regular status reports and lead cross-training sessions to enhance team knowledge and collaboration. You will be a good fit as a Network (Operations) Engineer if you have: Required Qualifications:
Eligible to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, or a bachelor's degree in a non-IT field with at least 2 years of relevant IT experience.
Over 5 years of professional experience in IT.
3+ years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and deploying cloud solutions.
3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
3+ years of experience with Git-based source control systems, including GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
3+ years of experience in systems development within an Agile framework.
3+ years of hands-on experience with networking technologies, including implementing firewalls, VPNs, subnets, and network monitoring tools.
3+ years of experience configuring network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Proficient in both Azure and AWS cloud environments. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator - Associate
Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer - Associate
CompTIA Network+
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships.
Proficient in documenting the current state of environments, conducting gap analysis, and creating reports with recommendations for improvement.
Skilled in scripting languages such as Concourse, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, and Ruby.
Experienced with containerization using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Hands-on expertise with automation tools, including Pivotal, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
