Azimuth Corporation is seeking an Operations Officer to join our Arlington, VA team, in support of our government client. The ideal candidate will provide general administrative support. Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Manages a full range of operational and support activities. Provide support for scheduling appointments, meetings and travel arrangements. Maintains cognizance of, and compliance with all applicable OSD policies and procedures and ensures office SOPs adhere to the same, and employees are kept abreast of changes. Assists with tracking and monitoring correspondence. Assists in developing and implementing SOPs. Research, review, and analyze Office of Personnel Management (OPM), DOD, Secretary of Defense (SecDef), Deputy of SecDef and other DOD agencies' regulations and policies to ensure implementation and internal dissemination. Other general administrative support, as required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience as an Operations Officer Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience or equivalent working with the Department of Defense. Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Active TS/SCI Clearance Desired Qualifications Minimum 4 years of proven experience in managing complex projects that require interactions with a diverse array of people and organizations. Basic knowledge of the organizational structure of OSD, to include programs, mission and functions. Knowledge of Federal Government organizational structure, particularly the interrelationships of the executive and legislative branches. Ability to deal, on a routine basis, with Congressional staff, local Government officials, and industry representatives. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the productivity of the administrative programs within a DOD organization. Physical Requirements / Travel Must be able to work in an office environment at a desk and computer. May travel 10% to conferences, program reviews, industry meetings, or other collaborative events. Most or all travel would be CONUS.
