PMR-51 Mid-Level Engineer

International Systems Management Corp (ISM) is seeking a qualified Mid-Level Engineer to provide engineering support to the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Office of Low Observable/Counter-Low Observable Policy, Technology and Advanced Projects (PMR-51) which has offices located in Arlington, VA and at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB), Washington, DC. PMR-51 provides oversight management and leadership for the Navy's Science and Technology (S&T) program areas including Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), surface and air launched weapons, air vehicles, Long Range Fires (LRF), Future Naval Capabilities (FNC), and all associated matters related to Tri-Service S&T Reliance for Basic Research (Budget Activity (BA) 6.1), Applied Research (BA 6.2), and Advanced Technology Development (BA 6.3). The applicant must meet the following minimum qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Engineering-related, or Science discipline from an accredited university and five years of experience related to IAMD, LRF, or Navy S&T programs OR a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and ten years of experience related to IAMD, LRF, or Navy S&T programs. • Holds a current security clearance with at least favorable Top Secret adjudication in the past 5 years and be able to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access. • Demonstrated experience providing technical engineering support to IAMD, LRF, S&T or acquisition programs. • Demonstrated experience (1) in reviewing engineering/technical documentation and briefings; (2) in developing project briefings; (3) in participating in design reviews; (4) in interfacing with engineering teams including leading discussions, (5) in interfacing with acquisition, fleet and resource sponsor representatives to brief projects. • Demonstrated experience working with representatives from universities, government laboratories, industry and military organizations to address IAMD and/or LRF warfighting capability gaps. • Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
The following experience is desired: • Knowledge of ONR policies and business practices. • Experience working with an IAMD warfare development group. • Experience working with PEO IWS, specifically IWS X (Integrated Combat System), IWS 1.0 (AEGIS), IWS 2.0 (Sensors) or IWS 6.0 (CEC). • Knowledge of and experience working with development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) algorithms and software. • Experience with related to Battle Management Aids. • Experience working with Naval Surface Warfare Centers, specifically the safety and/or electronic warfare groups.
