The Principal, Revenue Cycle, role at ECG is a significant leadership position in the firm and a stepping stone to shareholder status. A principal is on the path to becoming or has emerged as an industry thought leader capable of managing and selling revenue cycle engagements with superior client relationship management skills. The Principal, Revenue Cycle, role at ECG includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Leading a practice of consulting members focused on revenue cycle improvement.
Collaborating in the continued growth and development of the Health System Performance division, particularly with a focus on ambulatory and hospital performance transformation projects.
Leading engagements and operating as the primary point of contact for clients.
Developing core methodologies, practices, and technology enablers to meet client needs.
Managing multiple engagements and project teams.
Contributing to the firm's growth by identifying and pursuing to-follow and new business opportunities.
Playing an integral role in the recruitment and development of staff consultants.
Developing and delivering thought leadership on a national stage.
Being a leader in the firm and contributing to the firm's culture and success.
Participating in firm and practice management.
Marketing and selling over $2 million in consulting revenue.
Requirements
Outstanding drive, determination, and desire to be part of a growing, elite-level consulting firm
Strong knowledge of and passion for the revenue cycle sector
More than 15 years of experience consulting to healthcare providers serving hospital systems, academic medical centers, children's hospitals, or physician groups
Demonstrated record of solving complex problems, directing and managing individuals, and completing challenging projects
Track record of managing multiple engagements, including work plans, deliverables, budgets and schedules, and accounts receivable
Demonstrated record of achievement in selling and managing engagements
Viewed as a thought leader through marketing activities, such as networking with potential clients, participating in professional societies, and publishing and presenting thought leadership (whitepapers, speeches, and articles)
Demonstrated focus on staff development, coaching, and retention, with a refined ability to provide constructive and timely feedback
Master's degree in business administration and/or a health-related field; bachelor's degree in business or a health-related field preferred
Strong written and verbal presentation skills
Ability to travel at least 80% of the time
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain deep client relationships

The estimated base salary range for this job is $250,000 - $280,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG's pay-for-performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in ECG's benefit plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, and other wellness programs.
