Job description
Lead Audit Consultant What We Are Looking For: We are looking for a team lead with 5 -7 years' experience in internal audit, internal controls, compliance testing, or audit sustainment and remediation services for a US Federal Agency. Must have demonstrated experience leading a team and possess excellent analytical skills, technical leadership ability, and client-facing experience delivering high-level support.
This role requires providing improper payment testing and management consulting advisory services to executive leadership and is a client-facing engagement in a dynamic environment that requires the ability to interact, adjust, and continue to meet evolving demands.
Lead key activities throughout the improper payment testing life cycle: developing audit plans and test procedures, performing testing of select transactions, identifying root cause of payment errors, researching issues, and reporting findings.
Coordinate with organization stakeholders to obtain supporting documentation for testing.
Identify potential issues and communicate to organization stakeholders.
Document the execution of specific test procedures as defined by the engagement objectives.
Develop and present executive-level presentations and deliverables.
Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the Federal environment.
Maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.
Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery.
This is a full-time remote position. Requirements:
US Citizenship (Required).
BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Required). (CPA Preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Demonstrated experience leading/managing a team
Knowledge of internal controls, internal audit, improper payment testing
Excellent project management skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs Preferred:
CPA
CGFM / CDFM
Experience with an IPA, Federal OIG, or Audit Agency
