Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer SME to join our team. As a Systems Engineer SME, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving complex systems infrastructure to meet our organization's technology needs. You will serve as the technical expert in systems engineering and provide guidance to other engineers and stakeholders. This SME should have proven experience defining system solutions based on client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Responsibilities Design and implement complex systems infrastructure to meet organizational needs.
Develop and maintain system requirements, specifications, and standards.
Provide technical guidance and direction to other engineers and stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.
Analyze and resolve technical issues related to systems infrastructure.
Implement and maintain security protocols for systems infrastructure.
Conduct research to stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and best practices.
Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Qualifications Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's in Science degree in Computer Engineering, computer information systems, telecommunications, or management information systems, or have 7-10 years of documented experience.
Must have expertise in installing, configuring, and administering Windows Server 2008R2, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, and Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.
Must have expertise of Microsoft's operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and knowledge with other Microsoft Products. And possess senior knowledge of TCP/IP network design and support including Cisco equipment; LAN and WLAN networks, routing and sub-netting.
Perform independent verification, validation, and project management for current and future
Provide technical support, advice and troubleshooting for utility network operations with a 98% target network
Produce documentation for use in configuration, repair and troubleshooting of hardware, software and network operating
Develop and document processes and procedures for the day to day
Implement systems as needed based on network application requirements.
Manage Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, SCCM, and WhatsUpGold.
Provide support for VMware ESX/VSphere Virtualization Technologies (ESX 5 or greater, Virtual Center, P2V Tools) design/management/implementation
Provide support for Storage Area Network (SAN)
Provide installation support for network
Produce network architectural drawings and schematic
Perform network monitoring of the network to include all assets.
Develop and maintain all workstation and server
Monitor and Maintain McAfee's Host Based Security System(HBSS).
Maintain virus definitions, patch versions and Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) levels on all network servers and
Utilize the DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) to update, manage and track implementation of information security requirements for the IT assets and resources.
