Clearance: Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a CI polygraph after hire (if not before)
Location: Springfield, VA
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
Experience: Must have at least 7+ years of experience supporting personnel security continuous evaluation case management.
Description: Sphinx Security Specialist support customer personnel security investigations and adjudication cases. Conducting background checks in support continuous evaluation programs. Responsibilities
- Collect, investigate, research, document, and forward to adjudications all reportable information from employees and contractors within the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act (IRTPA) and Director of National Intelligence (DNI) mandated timelines.
- Monitor all case progress to ensure completed cases within Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act (IRTPA) mandates.
- Document, file, and maintain all actions in the security system of record.
- Follow-up as appropriate to ensure timely action on all ARC and CEP events.
- Prepare accurate and quality reports of investigation.
- Submit appropriate documentation to applicable databases to complete the Automatic Records Checks in less than 30 days.
- Knowledge and experience working in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Scattered Castles.
- Prepare the ARC report using the established template and place in ePSF, annotating action in the investigations Module in system of record.
- Identify any outstanding actions weekly to the government Team Lead.
- Ensure no errors are detected and that all case data entry in the system of record Investigations and Adjudication Modules is current and accurate.
- Monitor and assign priorities to cases specified by the Government (specific work roles, student hires, etc.).
- Provide written weekly status reports on mandated timelines.
- Accurately create the DNI Quarterly Metrics reports and deliver them for review on mandated timelines before external suspense.
- Prepare the monthly metrics slides with all required information and without error and deliver on mandated timelines.
- Maintain all tracking reports, suspension reports, and status reports in shared files, with the latest revision in the external folder, and historical records maintained in an archive folder.
- Maintain communication being ISP liaison between subcontractors and government personnel to track all cases being worked and provide status.
- Create, maintain, and track all background investigator credentials for customer investigations in accordance with customer security office.
- Inspect and document that all folders are clearly marked and easily searchable; using the document mapping criteria provided by the Investigations and Adjudications Branch Chiefs. Required Qualifications
- Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a CI polygraph after hire (if not already held)
- Must be a self-motivated, disciplined, and mature professional capable of operating with little tasking and oversight
- Must be capable of operating within a diverse environment and comfortable operating with limited guidance and oversight, maturity and self-motivation required.
- Clear and concise writing skills and positive, engaging communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
