Job description
Red River Managed Services ELP team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to maintain, mature and grow its services and offerings portfolio. The role of the Program Manager will be a part of a collaborative team supporting existing customers and contribute to the growth of our portfolio. You will be responsible for managing and reporting on all facets on existing programs, including monthly deliverables, project status throughout the month, and contract status for internal reporting and customer requirements. Throughout the ELP project lifecycle, you will oversee service and offering creation across the engineering team, business operations and procurement team, and collaborate within Red River to create custom enterprise solutions. This position will touch all aspects of the team's business process and ensure continued customer success and growth. This role requires excellent communication skills, along with a strong technical background (preferably Cloud DevOps, Engineering, Services or Practitioner) to ensure development of best-in-class technical solution for our portfolio. In this position you will develop and maintain strong relationships with customer, technical and contracting personnel, and leverage your experience and network to grow ELPs portfolio. To successfully accomplish these objectives, you will bring an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and 5+ years of onsite customer support (preferably in technical project or program management with requirements development). As a Technical Program Manager, you will: Act as the lead customer-facing technical solutions architect, working closely with the Engineering Team lead to design, document and pitch the teams capabilities that solve unique customer challenges.
Assist the Director in day-to-day team administration to include project management, customer relationship management, engineering tasking, financial reporting, business development, pricing builds and bid and proposal support.
Provide cross-functional coordination to deliver outstanding program outcomes to senior leadership.
Assist in managing the ELP portfolio, and designated programs throughout the project lifecycle based on customer defined requirements and processes.
Ensure on-time delivery of contract deliverables and monthly reporting.
Identify, scope and deliver small, medium and large end-to-end projects.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans to include defining requirements, establishing timelines and building budgets.
Manage projects, identify possible issues, and proactively and clearly communicate program status to project stakeholders.
Lead meetings, create presentations, monthly reporting, budgets and other technical documentation as required by customers or programs.
Identify opportunities to improve execution of the organization to increase engineering productivity and efficiency through tools and process improvements.
Manage and coordinate across multiple projects simultaneously.
Other business duties as assigned.
A Technical Program Manager at Red River is expected to have: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of industry experience in engineering, technical subjects, and emerging technologies.
Experience with Dev Ops, Engineering or as a CSP Administrator or practitioner in at least one commercial cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure, Oracle, etc). Cloud Certification Preferred.
Strong ability to multi-task and actively self-direct daily tasking, ensuring stakeholders and leadership maintain situational awareness.
Experience leading technical teams, working cross functionally, and leading meetings to achieve technical project solutions or outcomes.
Demonstrated current experience managing projects or programs for Federal or USG customers.
Proficient with Office 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, and experience with collaboration tools such as Teams and/or WebEx.
A strong technical aptitude, planning and strategic thinking, a risk management mindset, adaptability, and time management.
A deep understanding of business goals, project and personnel management, and leadership skills.
Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, consultation and organizational skills.
